Avanan is an AI based email security service that focuses on phishing protection. The following are the notifications you may receive from the system as well as actions you may take.
Quarantined Emails
When a phishing or otherwise dangerous email is found, it will be held in quarantine. You will receive a notification email with the subject address it was sent from as well as the reason(s) for quarantining the message. If you believe this is a false positive you can click the link shown to request it be evaluated. If our support deems the email to be safe we will release the email to you.
Clicking the link to request release of the quarantined email will send us a notification of your request. If we deem the email to be a false positive we will release the email to you.
Suspicious but not Quarantined
Some emails may be suspicious but not enough to block. In this case you may see a banner similar to the images below. This banner acts as a warning and informs the user of potential risk in the email.
Be extra cautious of any email suspected of phishing.
